Annual conference of overseas users and dealers
2016 exported steel products reach 5.25 million tons, increase 64% from the last year

January 6-8, Shagang Group 2015 annual conference of overseas users and dealers was held in Shagang Hotel. On the conference, Shagang signed the memorandum of understanding on 2016 cooperation with 29 users, dealers and traders, export orders reach 5.25 million tons, increase 64% against last year, especially those from Korea and Americas', increased 35% and 20%.

Chairman Shen Wenrong led other involved Shagang directors attended the conference and received the 240 representatives from Europe, America, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea etc..

Shen Bin delivered the welcome speech. He said, with the demand moderation, steel prices continue to plummet; the steel industry was forced to the loss situation. In order to overcome these difficulties and develop in intense market competitions, Shagang rose to the challenges under the guidance of powerful self-developing consciousness and innovative concept, analysis and research the market movement to adjust the production and operation strategies, accelerate the new product developing and industrial restructuring, increasing exports and reducing cost to increasing the profit along with the innovation and quality improvement, so that the enterprise was operated in a smooth and stable condition consequently. The outputs of iron, steel, product reached 31.58 million tons, 34.18 million tons and 33.90 million tons with the sales income 205.80 billion RMB, tax 4.70 billion RMB and profits 1.90 billion RMB respectively. He expressed that Shagang obtained these achievements cannot be apart from the concerns and supports from the clients and friends home and abroad. In 2016, Shagang will always be oriented by and fulfill the philosophy of “Quality, Efficiency and Profit”; highlight the principal of “Reducing cost, saving expense, stressing innovation, exploring potential and increasing efficiency”, make unremitting efforts to build up the six projects of “Expanding market, reducing cost & saving expense, improving quality, intensive management, team construction and diversified development” to improve the overall competitive strength, ensure the steady trends for enterprise development under New Normal, and lay more solid foundation for immortal business at the beginning of new "Five-years Plan".

Mr. Xu Liangqian reported the foreign trade marketing business of Shagang International Trade Co. ,Ltd in 2015 and plan of 2016. Hyundai Heavy Industries, Korean Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, Bekaert Company and other 21 clients were awarded on the conference, representatives from Shenhou Company and Stark Global Holdings Co. ,Ltd also made speeches. 

In 2015, Shagang innovated the trade mechanism and enhanced the analysis and prejudgment of market trends to overcome trade conflict, anti-damping and price decline, in parallel, develop new market, new products and new clients for expanding export to 75 countries and regions among Europe, America, Africa, Middle East and South East Asia etc., 30 strategic customers and 6.80 million tons exports in the year had reached a new record with continuous 5 years ranked No.1 against other domestic competitors. Shagang will make efforts to carry out the operation policy of “Innovation and Efficiency”, enhance the technical communication, service and logistics management, certificate all exported products and improve product grade, service level for another new great height on export.
