On November 6th, Xu Kunlin, Secretary of Liaoning Provincial Party Committee, and Wang Xinwei, Deputy Secretary of Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Liaoning Province, met with Shen Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Jiangsu Shagang Group, Gong Sheng, Executive Director and President, and other members of their delegation in Shenyang. The two sides had in-depth exchanges focusing on deepening cooperation and jointly promoting the transformation and upgrading of Liaoning's steel industry.

    On behalf of Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Liaoning Provincial People's Government, Xu Kunlin and Wang Xinwei extended a warm welcome to Shen Bin and his delegation and expressed their gratitude to Jiangsu Shagang Group for its contributions to the development of Liaoning's steel industry. Xu Kunlin stated that Liaoning Province is thoroughly studying and implementing the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee as well as the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions concerning Liaoning. Liaoning Province is formulating a scientific development plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries through intelligent upgrading and digital transformation, fostering and expanding new quality productive forces based on local conditions, and striving to take the lead in embarking on a new path of high-quality development and sustainable revitalization. Xu Kunlin hoped that Jiangsu Shagang Group would continue to leverage its advantages as a leading enterprise, accelerate the progress of its upgrading and renovation projects in Liaoning Province, deepen the cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises, strengthen the industry-university-research cooperation, and contribute to the quality improvement and upgrading of Liaoning's steel industry. "We will keep improving the business environment, and provide all-round factor guarantees and efficient whole-life-cycle services based on the needs of projects and expectations of enterprises, so as to support enterprises to grow stronger and larger in Liaoning Province," Xu added.

    Shen Bin and Gong Sheng expressed their gratitude for the strong support given by Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Liaoning Provincial People's Government to Jiangsu Shagang Group. Shen Bin said that Liaoning boasts a solid foundation in the steel industry, and has strong scientific research capabilities and broad development prospects. "We have full confidence in deepening our roots in Liaoning and will further increase our investment and layout efforts. We will deepen joint efforts in technological breakthroughs, continuously introduce more competitive high-end products, attract more enterprises and projects to settle in Liaoning, promote the coordinated development of the industrial and supply chains, and make greater contributions to Liaoning's high-quality development and comprehensive revitalization."
