Grange Resources Co., Ltd is a subsidiary company of Shagang Group, headquartered in Burnie, Tasmania. The company has been in the mining business for over 50 years, and owns the only pellet plant in Australia and has two large magnetite projects. Located in the north of Tasmania, the Savage River Project in production contains about 485million tons of mineral resources, including 96.5 million tons of ore reserves. The mining life is until 2028. The Definitive Feasibility Study of North Pit Underground started in 2022, demonstrating the potential for a 6 million tons per annum production with the mining life of more than 10 years. Located in the northeast of Albany, Western Australia, the Southdown Magnetite Project is under planning, construction, and development. It contains over 1.2 billion tons of high-quality mineral resources, including 388 million tons of ore reserves. The Definitive Feasibility Study report has been completed with an annual output of 5 million tons and the estimated mining lifeof 28 years.
