Convened by the Development promotion association of Jiangsu Merchandisers in Jiangsu Province, the conference of Jiangsu Merchandisers 2017 and the first meeting of second session of membership conference of The Development Promotion Association of Jiangsu Merchandisers was held in the Purple Mountain Villa in Nanjing on Aug.8^th -9^th. 2017. The chairman of the board of Shagang Group, Mr.Sheng Wenrong is elected to serve for another term of the position as chairman of the association. He is also been honoured with the tile of “The meritorious figure under Jiangsu Merchandisers for making a strong nation via industrialization in the year of 2016-2017” and Shagang Group is been honoured with the title of “Landmark enterprise in Jiangsu in the year of 2016-2017” by the serial election campaign of “Great nation with strong industry, Enterprise in Jiangsu with strength".

Guided by the Commission of Economy and Information Technology of Jiangsu Province, the association convened the conference to activating the energy of private capital in Jiangsu, concentrating the resource superiority of Jiangsu merchandisers, polishing the golden signboard of Jiangsu merchandiser.  The main topic of the conference is “New economy driven by new technology”. Focusing the material economy, over thousand of well known Jiangsu merchandisers national wide were invited to take part in the conference. The main guideline of the conference is the principles of nation’s economical development set by the leaders of the country and province, such as Xi Jinping—the general secretary of the CCP, said recently in a speech “China is a big nation, we have to be strong in material economy. Virtual economy prevails over the material one is something shall not happen”, Li Qiang, the party secretary of the province, stated “ We need to stick to the material economy and understand that the bases of the Jiangsu economy is the material economy.”. During these 2days the first meeting of the second session of member ship conference of Jiangsu Merchandisers was held, a serial of awards were issued to the enterprises operated by the Jiangsu merchandisers, keynote speeches were made, theme dialogues were arranged. At same time various sub-forums were organized, like: “the evolution of new style of Jiangsu merchandiser”, “small towns with character in Jiangsu and Zhejiang”, “listed companies”, “interface with the industrial investment in coastal area”, etc.

As been informed, promoters driven by the new economical engine have emerged in large numbers in recent years. To setup models for the material business, reinforce the determination to stick to the material business, update the industry, expand the reputation of brand names owned by Jiangsu merchandisers, the Development Promotion Association of Jiangsu Merchandisers conducted a serial of voting campaigns for selection of “The meritorious figures under Jiangsu Merchandisers for making a strong nation via industrialization in the year of 2016-2017”, “Landmark enterprise in Jiangsu in the year of 2016-2017”, “New leader of Jiangsu Merchandiser in making strong province and rewarding the people in the year of 2016-2017”. All prizes were awarded during the conference.
