On April 23rd, the 2023 Sushang Advanced Manufacturing Development Summit was held in Nanjing. Mr. Hu Guangjie, Party Member and Vice Governor of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, attended the meeting together with other leaders. Shagang, Hongdou, Jinshiyuan and other representatives of Jiangsu entrepreneurs, as well as relevant experts and scholars also participated in the meeting.

With the theme of "Shoulder the Main Responsibilities Bravely, and Go Ahead in the Forefront", the Summit analyzed the economic situation in depth. On the journey of China's advanced manufacturing, Jiangsu entrepreneursshall jointly seek the path of high-quality development for Jiangsu manufacturing in the era of transition, and discuss the new future for Jiangsumanufacturing. The Summit commended the entrepreneurs with achievements of Sushang Advanced Manufacturing Development in 2022, and launched the 2023 Development Conference for Integration of Digital Technology with Real Economy, soliciting partners for Sushang Digital Empowerment Strategy. The Summit also witnessed the launching ceremony of Sushang New-Generation Entrepreneurs Cultivation Project, and the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation of Jiangsu Sushang Development Promotion Association (hereinafter referred to as SDPA), etc.

Mr. Shen Bin, Chairman of SDPA, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shagang Group, and Chairman of Shagang Group Co., LTD, delivered a speech at the Summit. He said that 2023 is the first year to fully implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, andalso the first year to comprehensively promote Jiangsu’s new practice through a Chinese path to modernization. When General Secretary Xi Jinping participated in the review of Jiangsu Delegation, he emphasized that the focus of economic development should always be placed on the real economy. General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward his earnest expectations for Jiangsu to "step up efforts to become a province of strong manufacturing", showing fullcare and providing guidance for both the presentand the future. All entrepreneurs of Jiangsu, as the real backbone of Jiangsu's manufacturing, have a solid foundation and lofty responsibilities in consolidating the real economy and in stepping up efforts to build China into a leading manufacturing power.

Mr. Shen Bin said that in the new journey, Jiangsu entrepreneurs should understand the important task laid upon them, bravely shoulder the main responsibilities in economic transformation,continuously promote Jiangsu's economic transformation and upgrading, and actively serve the country to build a new development pattern. Jiangsu entrepreneurs should be boldin thinking and acting, practice the "hard skills" of transformation and upgrading with scientific and technological innovations, accelerate the breakthroughs of key core technologies,provide high-tech value-added products and services for consumers in China and all over the world, create more products with China’s voice, and promote the transformation towardshigh-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing. Seize the opportunity of digital economy, and take it as a key increment. Through more extensive explorationsinto digital industrialization and industrial digitalization, boost the transformation and upgrading of the real economy, continuously open up new tracks, activate new driving forces, and firmly support the “fundamental” for high quality development of the economy and the society.

Mr. Shen Bin expressed his hope that Jiangsu entrepreneurs in general couldbe united in thinking, understanding and actionto create anecosystem of common prosperity and co-existence, continue to strengthen competitiveness, enhance brand influence, and contribute to Jiangsu’s new practice through a Chinese path to modernization.
